                      Product Overview

                      AD7414ARTZ-3REEL7 is a 10bit digital temperature sensor. It provides a 2-wire serial interface that is compatible with SMBus and I²C interfaces. This device’s 2.7V supply voltage, low supply current, serial interface, and small package size make it ideal for a variety of applications, including personal computers, office equipment, cellular phones, and domestic appliances. In the AD7414, on-chip registers can be programmed with high and low-temperature limits, and an open-drain overtemperature indicator output (ALERT) becomes active when a programmed limit is exceeded. A configuration register allows programming of the state of the ALERT output (active high or active low). This output can be used as an interrupt or as an SMBus alert. It is used in applications such as hard disk drives and personal computers, electronic test equipment and office equipment, domestic appliances and cellular phones, process control.

                      • SMBus alert function, 4 versions allow 8 I²C addresses
                      • Accuracy is ±0.5°C typical at (VDD = 3V at +40°C)
                      • Temperature conversion time is 25µs typical at (VDD = 2.7V to 5.5V)
                      • Peak supply current is 1.1mA typical at (VDD = 2.7V to 5.5V)
                      • Digital input current is ±1µA maximum at (VIN = 0V to VDD)
                      • Input capacitance is 10pF maximum at (VDD = 2.7V to 5.5V)
                      • Serial clock period is 2.5µs minimum at (VDD = 2.7V to 5.5V)
                      • Operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C, 6-lead SOT-23 package
