The 8LT021F16SC-LC from Souriau is an 8LT series square flange receptacle circular connector with 16 contacts. The 8LT series standard version is qualified in accordance to the MIL-DTL-38999 Series I. It is used in varied applications needing extremely reliable interconnections with high density contact arrangements in a miniature circular shell. This connector features high contact density, versatility and high reliability. It has a well proven electrical capability and designed to withstand extreme shock, exposure and vibration. Typical applications include marine equipments, communications equipments, medical instrumentation, ballistic missiles & weapon systems, test equipments armoured carriers & tanks.
- Quick mating, 3 point bayonet lock system, weight and space saving
- Mismating, error proof positioning keyway polarization (5 position )
- 100% scoop proof contact protection
- Thermoplastic or metallic insulator, liquid silicone rubber or fluorocarbone elastomer grommet/seal
- Insulation resistance is greater than or equal to 5000Mohm (at 500VCC)
- Endurance is 500 mating / unmating operations
- Salt spray exposure of 48hour as per MIL STD 1344 method 1001 and NFC 93422
- Operating temperature range from -65°C +200°C
- Aluminium alloy body material with nickel plating
- Copper alloy crimp socket contacts with gold plating (connector delivered without contacts)
