                      Product Overview

                      LTC2984ILX#PBF is a multi-sensor high-accuracy digital temperature measurement system with EEPROM. This device can also measure temperature with standard 2-, 3-, or 4-wire RTDs, thermistors, and diodes. It has 20 reconfigurable analog inputs enabling many sensor connections and configuration options. It includes excitation current sources and fault detection circuitry appropriate for each type of temperature sensor as well as an EEPROM for storing custom coefficients and channel configuration data. It allows direct interfacing to ground-referenced sensors without the need for level shifters, negative supply voltages, or external amplifiers. It is used in applications such as direct thermocouple measurements, direct RTD measurements, direct thermistor measurements, custom sensor applications.

                      • On-chip EEPROM stores channel configuration data and custom coefficients
                      • Single supply voltage range from 2.85V to 5.25V, resolution is 24bits minimum
                      • 20 flexible inputs allow interchanging sensors, buffered inputs allow external protection
                      • Automatic thermocouple cold junction compensation, measures negative thermocouple voltages
                      • Built-in standard and user-programmable coefficients for thermocouples, RTDs and thermistors
                      • Automatic burn out, short-circuit and fault detection
                      • Supply current is 15mA typical at (TA = 25°C)
                      • Integral nonlinearity is 2ppm of VREF typical at (TA = 25°C)
                      • Output voltage noise is 4µVP-P typical at (0.1Hz ≤ f ≤ 10Hz)
                      • Operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C, 48-lead LQFP package
