Product Overview
HMC1163 is a monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC), voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) that integrates a resonator, a negative resistance device, and a varactor diode, and features a half frequency output. Because of the monolithic construction of the oscillator, the output power and phase noise performance are excellent over temperature. Application includes point to point and multipoint radios, test equipment and industrial controls, very small aperture terminals (VSATs).
- Output frequency range from 9.65 to 10.41GHz (TA = -40°C to +85°C, VCC = 5V)
- SSB phase noise is -87dBc/Hz (typ, 10KHz offset, TA = -40°C to +85°C, VCC = 5V)
- No external resonator needed
- Drift rate is 1.0MHz/°C (typ, TA = -40°C to +85°C, VCC = 5V)
- Supply current is 185mA (typ, VCC = 4.75V, TA = -40°C to +85°C, VCC = 5V)
- Voltage (VTUNE) range from 2 to 13V (TA = -40°C to +85°C, VCC = 5V)
- Sensitivity range from 75 to 300MHz/V (TA = -40°C to +85°C, VCC = 5V)
- Tune port leakage current is 10µA (typ, VTUNE = 13V)
- Output return loss is 6dB (typ, TA = -40°C to +85°C, VCC = 5V)
- 32 lead LFCSP package, operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C
