Product Overview
MAX222CWN+ is a +5V-powered, multichannel RS-232 driver/receiver. It is intended for all EIA/TIA-232E and V.28/V.24 communications interfaces, particularly applications where ±12V is not available. It is used in applications such as interface translation, multidrop RS-232 networks, and portable diagnostics equipment.
- Integrated charge pump circuitry, integrated capacitors
- Data rate is 200Kbps typical at (VCC = +5V ±10%)
- Output leakage current is ±10μA maximum at (VCC = +5.5V, VSHDN = 0V, VOUT = ±15V)
- Supply voltage range from 4.5V to 5.5V
- VCC supply current (VSHDN = VCC) is 4mA typical at (VCC = +5V ±10%)
- Shutdown supply current is 10μA maximum at (VCC = +5V ±10%)
- Transition slew rate is 12V/μs typical at (VCC = +5V ±10%)
- Transmitter propagation delay TLL to RS-232 is 1.3μs typical at (VCC = +5V ±10%)
- Operating temperature range from 0°C to +70°C
- 18-pin WSOIC package
