Product Overview
The 879B CAL DU from B&K Precision is a dual display handheld LCR meter measures L, C, R, Z, D, Q, θ, ESR quickly and precisely. Fast auto ranging and quick measurement configuration such as measurement parameter and test frequency selection makes meter very simple to operate. The meter also includes handy functions such as data hold, min/max/average recording, tolerance sorting and relative mode. Measurement data can continuously transfer to a PC via the meter’s mini USB interface, using either the provided data logging software or SCPI commands sent from a custom program. It is typically used in passive component troubleshooting, electronic assembly and quality control (component sorting).

- 0.5% accuracy, 100Hz, 120Hz, 1KHz, 10KHz test frequency, 0.6Vrms test signal, backlit display
- Flexible operation, 1.5 readings/sec measurement rate, tolerance mode of 1%, 5%, 10%, 20%
- Auto ranging mode, 3 terminals with sockets & series/parallel measuring circuit mode
- Operating temperature of 32°F to 104°F (0 to 40°C), 0-70% R.H, 680ms response time (typ)
- 6.8V low battery indication (typical) & 9V/ 120V AC adapter, 16hours alkaline battery
- Power consumption of 28mA (under full power battery) for operation

When measuring in-circuit components, first de-energize the circuits before connecting to the test leads.
Warnings
Do not connect an external power adapter when a battery is installed incorrectly (reverse polarity or non-matching polarity to indicator of battery compartment). Doing so will damage the instrument.
