What is a Leaded MLCC Multilayer Ceramic Capacitor?

A leaded ceramic multilayer capacitor is a fixed capacitor with the ceramic material acting as the dielectric. It consists of several layers of conductive plates each separated by a layer of ceramic dielectric. Layers of ceramic and metal are alternated to make a multilayer chip. This chip equipped with lead wires and epoxy coated makes a Leaded MLCC.

The Multicomp MCRR Series of multilayer ceramic capacitors are cost effective dipped radial multilayer devices with high reliability and performance. Applications include C0G dielectric tuned circuits and filters where low loss and stability are required

X7R dielectric offers high capacitance values in compact sizes with good stability. Z5U dielectric can be used in coupling and decoupling applications where change of capacitance with temperature is not important.

The Kyocera MR series comprise epoxy moulded radial leaded MLCCs. The company offers a wide variety of temperature coefficients and rated voltages. Ideal for most through-hole applications. The epoxy moulding provides excellent insulation from a wide variety of environmental conditions, including extreme heat and cold, moisture, and humidity.

The devices are suitable for use in military, defence and aerospace applications.

The Vishay K series are radial leaded, multilayer ceramic chip capacitor with class 2, X7R dielectric used for general purpose applications. The capacitance value ranges from 100pF to 1µF. These capacitors are used in temperature compensation, coupling and decoupling circuits.

Applications include Industrial, Consumer Electronics, Portable Devices, and Power Management.
