The 84870210 is a SPDT liquid level Monitoring Relay with monitoring filling (UP) or emptying (DOWN) selected by a switch on the front panel. It offers time delay preventing wave effect adjustable from 0.1 to 5s (ENRM). It also offers 1 AgNi changeover relay 8A AC maximum output relay and sensitivity adjustable on front panel from 250Ω to 1MΩ. The principle is based on measuring the apparent resistance of the liquid between two submerged probes when this value is lower than the preset threshold displayed on the unit's front panel, the relay changes state. To prevent any occurrences of electrolysis, an AC current is passed through the probes. A rotary switch on the front panel can be used to select the desired function and sensitivity range.
