                      Product Overview

                      The MA330025-2 is a 144-pin dsPIC33EP512MU814-I/POT plug-in module. It is intended to be used with the explorer 16 board (DM240001 or DM240002) for general-purpose application or for graphics application development with the addition of the graphics PICtail plus daughter board (AC164127). These dsPIC33E devices contain a peripheral pin select (PPS) feature that allows most of the Digital peripherals to be remapped to use any number of pins on the device. Because the dsPIC33EP512MU814 device has 144-pins and the PIM socked can only route 100 pins down to the explorer 16 board, 28 I/O pins are multiplexed using zero ohm resistors. Designers can utilize the PPS feature and modify the functionality by adding or removing these resistors. In addition, 32 I/O pins are routed to test points on top of the PIM PC board to provide full access to all available pins.

                      • Modified Harvard architecture with 16bit wide data path, 24bit wide instructions
                      • Two 40bit accumulators with rounding and saturation options
                      • Two master time base modules can control dual 3-phase motors simultaneously
                      • Up to seven PWM generators, Two PWM outputs per PWM generator and 8.32ns PWM resolution
                      • 32bit position counter and 32bit index pulse counter
                      • Two independent ADC modules, Flexible and independent ADC trigger sources
                      • Nine 16bit timers/counters. Unused output compares can be used for a total of 25 timers
                      • 16 input capture, 16 output compare/ PWM, Hardware real-time clock and calendar
                      • 15 channel DMA with user-selectable priority arbitration
                      • Real time clock and calendar (RTCC) module
