Product Overview
MCP3201-BI/SN is a successive approximation 12bit A/D converter w/SPI interface and on-board sample and hold circuitry. The device provides a single pseudo-differential input. Communication with the device is done using a simple serial interface compatible with the SPI protocol. Application includes sensor interface, process control, data acquisition, battery operated systems.
- Resolution is 12bits typ (VDD = 5V, VSS = 0V, VREF = 5V, TA = -40°C to +85°C)
- Differential nonlinearity is ±0.5LSB typ (VDD = 5V, VSS = 0V, VREF = 5V, TA = -40°C to +85°C)
- Integral nonlinearity is ±0.75LSB typ (VDD = 5V, VSS = 0V, VREF = 5V, TA = -40°C to +85°C)
- On-chip sample and hold, SPI serial interface (modes 0,0 and 1,1), low-power CMOS technology
- Operating voltage range from 2.7 to 5.5V (VDD = 5V, VSS = 0V, VREF = 5V, TA = -40°C to +85°C)
- Conversion time is 12clock cycles max (VDD = 5V, VSS = 0V, VREF = 5V, TA = -40°C to +85°C)
- Throughput rate is 100Ksps max (VDD = VREF = 5V, VDD = 5V, VSS = 0V, VREF = 5V, TA = -40°C to +85°C)
- Gain error is ±1.25LSB typ (VDD = 5V, VSS = 0V, VREF = 5V, TA = -40°C to +85°C)
- Total harmonic distortion is -82dB typ (VIN = 0.1V to 4.9V at 1KHz, TA = -40°C to +85°C)
