The module has built-in open-loop detection, which generates an interrupt in software when an open loop is detected as well as zeroing outputs to ensure safety and avoid driving actuators at system power on. The NI‑9266 includes channel‑to‑earth ground isolation for safety and noise immunity. The NI-9266 is widely used with industrial, current-driven type actuators. This module comes with various safety features, such as overvoltage protection, short-circuit protection, and a safe power-on output state. NI 9266 module utilizes a dynamic power supply control technique. This technique involves a DC-DC converter circuit, which allows cutbacks in power utilization from standard designs.
