This cable drop amplifier sends CATV signals to up to eight television sets with an internal 4dB signal amplifier to compensate for losses caused by the split and additional cable length. It also provides a passive return path, ensuring compatibility with current digital and interactive and broadband cable systems. While designed for CATV use, this device is perfectly suitable for use with standard TV and FM antennas. The housing and "F" ports are all sealed for permanent installation outdoors. Power is supplied either directly to the unit via the supplied AC adapter or may be inserted into the existing signal cable feeding the signal to one of the sets (optional power inserter required), allowing power to be provided from a remote location. Note: The included AC adapter must be located indoors.
