Product Overview
ALTAIR05T-800 is an off-line all-primary sensing switching regulator. It operates directly from the rectified mains with minimum external parts. It combines a low voltage, high performance PWM controller chip and an 800V avalanche rugged power section in the same package. The current-mode controller chip is specifically designed for off-line quasi-resonant flyback converters. This device provides a constant output voltage (CV) and constant output current (CC) regulation using the primary sensing feedback. In this manner, the optocoupler, the secondary voltage reference, and the current sensor are no more necessary, even though an accurate regulation also during heavy load transients is maintained. It is used in applications such as AC-DC chargers for mobile phones and other hand-held equipment's, compact SMPS that requires a precise current and/or voltage regulation.
