Product Overview
ST202BTR is a 5V-powered multi-channel RS-232 driver and receiver. It is particularly suitable for applications where ±12V is not available. It uses a single 5V power supply and only four external capacitors (0.1µF). Typical applications include portable computers, low-power modems, interface translation, and battery-powered RS-232 networks.
- Supply voltage range from 4.5V to 5.5V
- VCC power supply current is 1.5mA typical at ( TA = 25°C)
- Output voltage swing is ±9V typical at (TA = 25°C)
- Transition slew rate is 12V/µs typical at (TA = 25°C, VCC = 5V, RL = 3 to 7Kohm, CL = 50 to 2500pF)
- Propagation delay time is 1.3µs typical at (TTL-CMOS IN to RS-232 OUT, CL = 150pF (50% to 50%))
- Data rate is 400Kbits/s typical at (TA = 25°C)
- Transmitter output resistance is 300 ohm minimum at (TA = 25°C)
- Transmitter output short circuit current is ±22mA typical at (one TXOUT to GND, TA = 25°C)
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C
