Product Overview
The MAX7501MUA+ is a digital temperature sensor and thermal watchdog with bus lockup protection in 8 pin µMAX package. It accurately measure temperature and provide an overtemperature alarm/interrupt/shutdown output. It converts the temperature measurements to digital form using a high resolution, sigma-delta, analogue to digital converter (ADC). Communication is through an I2C compatible 2-wire serial interface. It integrates a timeout feature that offers protection against I2C bus lockups. It is ideally used in PCs, servers, office electronics, electronic test equipment and industrial process control.
- 3V to 5.5V supply voltage range
- Operating temperature range from -55°C to 125°C
- Two address select lines and a RESET (active-low) input
- Timeout prevents bus lockup
- Hardware reset for added protection
- I2C bus interface, improved LM75 second source
- 250μA (typ) operating supply current, 3μA (typ) shutdown supply current
- 6 conversions OS delay
- Separate open-drain OS output operates as interrupt or comparator/thermostat input
