MAX7501MUA+

The MAX7501MUA+ is a digital temperature sensor and thermal watchdog with bus lockup protection in 8 pin µMAX package. It accurately measure temperature and provide an overtemperature alarm/interrupt/shutdown output. It converts the temperature measurements to digital form using a high resolution, sigma-delta, analogue to digital converter (ADC). Communication is through an I2C compatible 2-wire serial interface. It integrates a timeout feature that offers protection against I2C bus lockups. It is ideally used in PCs, servers, office electronics, electronic test equipment and industrial process control.

• 3V to 5.5V supply voltage range
• Operating temperature range from -55°C to 125°C
• Two address select lines and a RESET (active-low) input
• Timeout prevents bus lockup
• Hardware reset for added protection
• I2C bus interface, improved LM75 second source
• 250μA (typ) operating supply current, 3μA (typ) shutdown supply current
