Product Overview
LanSeeker™ is a fast, rugged cable tester and tone generator in one unit. No on/off switch automatically starts test when a connection is sensed between main and remote unit. It is used at installation and troubleshooting of twisted pair security and datacom cables, identifies faults, generates tone for tracing, supports unshielded or shielded twisted pair.
- Displays cable test results on main and remote units in less than 2 seconds
- Immediately detects shorts by just plugging in one end of a cable to the tester
- Identifies shorts, opens, miswires, reversed and split pairs
- Debug mode diagnoses and displays faults one pair at a time
- Self-stored remote
- 9V alkaline battery
- 1m (3ft) min and 305m (1,000ft) max cable length for testing
- Shielded or unshielded, CAT3, CAT4, CAT5, CAT5e and CAT6 cable types
