Product Information
Product Overview
The 12250 from Desco is Statfree high density conductive foam. It features antistatic, low tribocharging which minimizes charge generation and material will conduct charges if grounded. This conductive foam is a non-abrasive, open-cell (closed cell in cross linked) polyurethane foam compounded for permanent ESD control properties. The black conductive foam’s Rtt range of 10E3 to 10E6 allows it to be used with ESD susceptible products.
- Dimension is 1/4" x 24" x 36"
- 5lb/cu ft high density, used for lead insertion of components and PCB
- Dissipative corrosion resistant foam, ideal for long term storage
- Uniform protection, will not affect the solderability of device leads
- Surface resistance is 1 x 10E3 <lt/> 1 x 10E6 ohms per ANSI/ESD STM11.11
- Volume resistance is 1 x 10E3 <lt/> 1 x 10E6 ohms per ANSI/ESD STM11.12
- Charge decay is less than 0.05seconds from 5KV per FTMS 101C, method 4046.1
- Tensile strength is 25psi, tear resistance is 2.15lbs, elongation is 120%
Notes
On eyes this may cause irritation if heated without adequate ventilation and it is not considered to be a skin irritant, but under some circumstances foam can have a minor abrasive action on skin.
