FT232HL-REEL

The FT232HL-REEL is a single channel high speed USB to multipurpose UART/FIFO IC in 48 Pin LQFP package. It has capability of being configured in variety of industry standard serial or parallel interfaces. Multi protocol synchronous serial engine (MPSSE) simplifies synchronous serial protocol (USB to JTAG, I2C, SPI (MASTER) or bitbang) design. It supports proprietary half duplex FT1248 interface with configurable width and bidirectional data bus (1, 2, 4 or 8bits wide). The FTDI’s royalty free virtual com port (VCP) and direct (D2XX) drivers eliminate the requirement for USB driver development in most cases. The FT232HL has asynchronous serial UART interface option with full hardware handshaking and modem interface signals.
