MAX135CPI+

The MAX135CPI+ is a 15bit, binary output, low power CMOS analogue to digital converter (ADC) with parallel interface in 28 pin DIP package. The multi slope integration provides low noise and high resolution conversions in less time than standard integrating ADCs. The MAX135 is tested at 16 conversions per second but operates at up to 6 times of that rate. Supply current is 125µA maximum during normal operation and only 10µA maximum in sleep mode. Low conversion noise allows tested operation at only 300mV full scale (15µV per LSB). A simple 8bit parallel data bus, three control lines easily interface to all common microprocessors and twos-complement output coding simplifies bipolar measurements. High resolution and compact size make the MAX135 ideal for data loggers, numerical control systems, weight scales, data acquisition systems, panel meters, analogue signal measurements, battery powered instruments and control applications.

• Common mode rejection of 3LSB at VCM = ±500mV and 70LSB at VCM = ±3.5V

• ±10pA input leakage current at TA = 25°C
• 20000LSB resolution and ±2LSB nonlinearity at TA = 25°C
• Zero error of ±2LSB and rollover error of ±3LSB at TA = 25°C
• Three super bits for 18bit resolution
