5419 3/8 X 36 YD

The 5419 3/8" X 36 YD from 3M is a gold coloured low static polyimide film tape. This translucent tape with DuPont™ Kapton® polyimide film and silicone adhesive used for PCB solder masking and other high temperature applications. The DuPont™ Kapton® polyimide film does not soften at elevated temperatures thus the film provides an excellent release surface at elevated temperatures. It has a proprietary technology that results in extremely low electrostatic discharge at unwind and removal from the PWB. The 5419 tape overcome damage board mounted electronic components due to generate over 10KV during use without any of the typical drawbacks of conventional 'anti-static' or 'static-free' tapes. Polyimide film does not soften at elevated temperatures thus the film provides an excellent release surface at elevated temperatures. Gold tab protection during wave solder of printed circuit boards. It is used as release surface in fabrication of parts cured at elevated temperatures.
