Product Overview
LTM®8078 is 40VIN, dual 1.4A/single 2.8A step-down Silent Switcher μModule® regulator. The Silent Switcher architecture minimizes EMI while delivering high efficiency at frequencies up to 3MHz. Included in the package are the controllers, power switches, inductors, and support components. Operating over a wide input voltage range, this supports output voltages from 0.8V to 10V, and a switching frequency range of 300KHz to 3MHz, each set by a single resistor. Only the bulk input and output filter capacitors are needed to finish the design. Typical applications are automated test equipment, distributed supply regulation, industrial supplies, medical equipment.

- Minimum input voltage is 3V (VIN1), 2V (VIN2) at TA=25°C. VIN1=VIN2=12V, RUN=2V
- Maximum output DC current is 2.5A maximum
- Output RMS ripple is 10mV typ (3.3VOUTn, TA=25°C. VIN1=VIN2=12V, RUN=2V)
- CISPR22 class B and CISPR25 class 5 compliant
- Switching frequency is 300KHz typ (RT=113Kohm, TA=25°C. VIN1=VIN2=12V, RUN=2V)
- Current into BIAS is 1μA maximum (RUN=0V, BIAS=5V)
- 49-pin BGA package
- Temperature rating range from -40°C to 125°C
