Product Overview
MAX222EWN+ is a +5V-powered, multichannel RS-232 driver/receiver. It is intended for all EIA/TIA-232E and V.28/V.24 communications interfaces. Applications include interface translation, multidrop RS-232 networks, portable diagnostics equipment.
- Saves board space
- Integrated charge pump circuitry
- Eliminates the need for a bipolar ±12V supply
- Enables single supply operation from +5V supply
- Saves power for reduced power requirements
- Output voltage swing is ±8V typ at all transmitter outputs loaded with 3kohm to GND
- RS-232 operating input voltage is ±30V
- Shutdown supply current is 0.1µA typ at TA=+25°C
- 18 wide SO package
- Temperature range from -40°C to +85°C
