                      Product Overview

                      The MAX6604AAHA+ is a high precision temperature monitor for DDR memory module in 8 pin TSSOP package. Three address inputs set the bus address for the temperature sensor to provide up to eight devices on one bus. The internal thermal sensor continuously monitors temperature and updates temperature data eight times per second. The master can read the temperature data at any time. Since thermal sensor is located on the memory module, temperature data recorded accurately represents the temperature of components on the module. Consequently, the MAX6604 provides a much more accurate measurement of module temperature than techniques involving temperature sensors on motherboard. In addition, it responds more quickly to temperature changes on module than a motherboard sensor. The threshold levels are programmable through digital interface. It is used in memory modules, desktop and notebook computers, workstations and networking equipment.

                      • Serial clock frequency is 400KHz, operating temperature range from -20°C to +125°C
                      • ±1°C temperature accuracy at +3V ≤ VCC ≤ +3.6V, +75°C ≤ TA ≤ +95°C
                      • Overtemperature interrupt with programmable threshold
                      • 2.7V to 3.6V operating voltage range, 300µA typical operating current, 3µA typical shutdown current
                      • Device is readable and programmable through the 2-wire SMBus/I2C compatible interface
                      • Designed for thermal monitoring functions in DDR memory modules
                      • Temperature resolution of 0.125°C (11bit)
                      • 2V power-on reset (POR) threshold, 90mV POR threshold hysteresis
                      • Operating current is 0.3mA, standby current is 3µA, conversion time is 125ms, conversion rate is 8Hz
                      • Interrupt output indicator for temperature threshold monitoring
