The 157-82500-3 is a Micro-Pierce® Connector with gold over nickel plated copper alloys contacts for excellent current carrying characteristics. It combines the field proven features and reliability of 57 series micro-ribbon solder type connectors with the speed and convenience of IDC (Insulation Displacement Contact) solder less termination. Solder less termination, as easily using either hand or automatic termination equipment, requires no special skill, yet results in reliable, virtually mistake proof termination because individual conductor preparation is not necessary. It has zinc-plated steel outer shell with clear chromate finishing resists corrosion.

• 700VDC Dielectric operation
• Hooked contacts recessed in body to prevent mating damage
• Float-bushing mounting permits 0.02" radial float for easy mating
• Wide flat mating surfaces pressed tightly together by both contacts for protection against opens
• Positive mating action wipes contact clean, removes film/foreign material for low contact resistance
• Metal shells improve EMI/RFI shielding
• Coded contacts assist wiring identification
• 90° Plastic hoods are separated from the cable clamp device, snaps ON and OFF easily
• Mated connectors may be locked together with either spring clips or a captivated screw
