MAX12931BASA+ is a two-channel, low-power, digital galvanic isolator. This device transfers digital signals between circuits with different power domains while using as little as 0.65mW per channel at 2Mbps with 1.8V. Applications include fieldbus communications for industrial automation, isolated RS232, RS-485/RS-422, CAN, general isolation application, battery management, medical systems.
- UL according to UL1577, cUL according to CSA bulletin 5A, VDE 0884-11 basic insulation (narrow SOIC)
- Robust galvanic isolation of digital signals
- Supply voltage range from 1.71 to 5.5V at relative to GNDA
- 1/1 channel configuration, 25Mbps data rate
- Supply current is 0.42mA typ at VDDA=5V, 1MHz square wave, CL=0pF
- Common-mode transient immunity is 50kV/µs typ at IN=GND or VDD
- Minimum pulse width is 40ns max at VDDA - VGNDA=1.71V to 5.5V, VDDB - VGNDB=1.71V to 5.5V
- Pulse width distortion is 0.4ns typ at VDDA - VGNDA=1.71V to 5.5V, VDDB - VGNDB=1.71V to 5.5V
- 8 narrow SOIC package
- Temperature range from -40°C to +125°C
