ATAVRFEB-SAFETY is an AVR functional safety field engagement board based on the ATtiny3217 microcontroller demonstrating the various built-in safety features of the AVR® microcontroller, such as: Power-on Reset (POR), Brown-out Detection (BOR), Voltage Level Monitoring (VLM) to ensure sufficient supply voltage, Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) to ensure no code corruption, Windowed Watchdog Timer (WDT) monitoring correct program operation, Timer/Counter type D (TCD) fault detection, Class B self tests designed to detect various faults on start-up or during program execution, and shut down the application safely in case of fault.
- Core independent operation using CCL and 16bit timer/counter type A to create heartbeat signal
- Core independent Cyclic Redundancy Check Memory Scan (CRCSCAN)
- Core independent operation using 12bit timer/counter type D (TCD) to drive a fan motor
- Core independent TCD fault handling using EVSYS, AC and DAC
- Charlieplexing drives many LEDs with few pins using 16bit TCB and priority interrupts
- Demonstrating core independent Watchdog Timer (WDT) in window mode
- Demonstrating Real Time Counter Periodic Interrupt (RTC) (PIT)
- Touch-slider controller adjusts ATtiny3217 voltage, demonstrating VLM interrupt, BOD, and POR
- On-board Mini Embedded Debugger (mEDBG) for programming and debugging
