The KIT33812ECUEVME is a fully functional single cylinder engine control unit (ECU) reference design kit. This engine control module features the MC33812 small engine integrated circuit and a MC9S12P128 microcontroller device. The MC33812 is an analog power IC intended for motorcycle and other single/dual cylinder small engine control applications. The MC9S12P128 microcontroller provides a cost effective 16bit microcontroller solution and it has 128KB of flash memory with ECC, 6KB of RAM, 4KB of data flash with ECC, 12bit ADC and USB base BDM tool. Additionally, this reference design can be configured for dual cylinder, the application must be able to tolerate simultaneous spark in both cylinders.
- Designed to operate over the range of 4.9V = VPWR = 18V

- Microcontroller can be recoded for parameter tables and engine customization

- Monitors and controls all required inputs and outputs for a single/dual cylinder ECU

- 1.5A typical (check engine light) lamp driver current limit
- ISO-9141 K line transceiver for communicating diagnostic messages
- The reference design can easily migrate to the S12XS or S12XE microcontroller families
