Aperçu du produit
The NCP1083WIRGEVB is an evaluation board for evaluating NCP1083 Power over Ethernet powered device (PoE PD). The NCP1083's exceptional capabilities enable applications to smoothly transition from non-PoE to PoE enabled networks by also supporting power from auxiliary sources such as AC power adapters and battery supplies, eliminating the need for a second switching power supply. The NCP1083WIRGEVB implements a PoE module DC to DC converter that converts the higher voltage one the Ethernet cable to a lower voltage (12V) with power levels up to 30W. Detection, classification and power up sequence is implemented according to IEEE802.3at (D4). The board also supports getting its power from and auxiliary input, in case PoE network is not available. Auxiliary input voltage may be as low as 9V. This is a PoE-PD module with VAUX (positive auxiliary input supply) evaluation board.
- Auxiliary supply support with an I/P down to 9V in combination with an extended power up to 40W
- Improved robustness behaviour against cable ESD
- A programmable operational current limit up to 1100mA for extended power ranges up to 40W
- Eliminates the need for a second DC to DC converter to support traditional non PoE power sources
- Supports the IEEE802.3at and proprietary high power solutions beyond the standard up to 40W
- Protects the device against cable transients and hot swap events that can occur in harsh environment
Applications
Power Management, Consumer Electronics, Wireless, Industrial, Communications & Networking, Security
Avertissements
The I/P voltage for the board should never exceed 57V nor should the evaluation board be loaded with loads higher than the 30W. Exceeding the specified I/P and O/P values could damage the board.
