TE Connectivity’s (TE) 4th generation SAS and PCIe receptacles (U.2/U.3) are 68-position PCB connectors which can offer good performance on speed, interface compatibility and system flexibility to address the needs of customers’ next generation platforms and facilitate optimal performance of NVMe (Non-Volatile Memory Express) storage solutions. Typical applications include mainstream servers, enterprise storage systems, external storage systems, mezzanine cards, processor and storage blades.
- Enhanced data performance supports PCIe Gen 4 (16GT/s), SAS 4.0 (24Gbps) and tri-mode storage
- Interfaces are backward compatible to address SFF-8639
- Compatible to SFF-8630, SFF-8680 and SFF-8432 interfaces
- Backward compatible to 12G, 6G and 3G SAS and SATA connectors
- No need for board design changes when using drives with different protocols
- Easy implementation of high speed SSDs, HDDs and PCIe products
- No board design change is required when upgrading from Gen 3 to Gen 4
- Help prevent misalignment with self-alignment feature that supports blind-mating
- Black colour LCP (Liquid Crystal Polymer) housing
- Gen4 PCIe/SAS generation, UL 94V-0 UL flammability rating
