The NFR25H0001001JR500 is a Metal Film Leaded Resistor constructed with a homogeneous film of metal alloy is deposited on a high grade ceramic body. After a helical groove has been cut in the resistive layer, tinned connecting wires of electrolytic copper are welded to the end-caps. The resistor is coated with a gray, flame-retardant lacquer which provides electrical, mechanical and climatic protection. The encapsulant is resistant to all cleaning solvents in accordance with IEC 60068-2-45. This NFR series through hole fusible resistor provides compatibility with lead (Pb)-free and lead containing soldering processes due to its pure tin plating. The nominal resistance and tolerance are marked on the resistor using four colored bands in accordance with IEC 60062. For ease of recognition a fifth ring is added, which is violet.
