The TPS series from AVX are low ESR tantalum capacitors. These are robust Mn02 solid electrolyte capacitors with an ESR as low as 80mohm makes it suitable for smoothing and filtering on 3.3V power rail of general medium power DC/DC converters. These capacitors are available in 14 EIA metric case sizes of 3216-18, 3528-21, 6032-28, 7343-31, 7343-43, 6032-20, 2012-15, 2012-12, 3216-12, 3528-12, 7361-38, 6032-15, 7343-15 and 7343-20. Device with high capacitance can also be used as battery support in handheld devices where small size is one of the key design requirements.
