Product Overview
MAX14935BAWE+ is a four-channel, 5kVRMS digital isolator. It offers all three possible unidirectional channel configurations to accommodate any four-channel design, including SPI, RS-232, RS-485, and large digital IO modules. Applications include fieldbus communications for industrial automation, isolated SPI, RS-232, RS-485/RS-422, general multichannel isolation applications, battery management, and medical systems. Safety regulatory approvals include UL according to UL1577, cUL according to CSA bulletin 5A, VDE 0884-11 basic insulation.
- Robust galvanic isolation of digital signals
- Withstands 5kVRMS for 60s (VISO), continuously withstands 848VRMS (VIOWM)
- 1200VP repetitive peak voltage (VIORM), withstands ±10kV surge per IEC 61000-4-5
- Accepts 1.71V to 5.5V supplies
- 3 channel direction configuration
- Common-mode transient immunity is 25kV/µs typ at IN=GND or VDD, TA=+25°C
- Minimum pulse width is 40ns max at INA to OUTB, INB to OUTA
- Propagation delay of 20.9ns typ at 4.5V ≤ VDDA, VDDB ≤ 5.5V, INA to OUTB, INB to OUTA, CL=15pF
- 3/1 channel configuration, 25Mbps data rate, default high output
