The 9080LBA361104 is a 3-pole 600VAC miniature Power Distribution Block made of high impact thermoplastic and tin plated aluminum lug terminals. This power distribution block can be used with copper or aluminum wire. The power distribution block provides a means of dividing a large circuit into smaller branch circuits and mounted on a fully insulated phenolic base. The Square D 9080 power distribution block (PDB) has short circuit current ratings (SCCR), which is now required by NEC 2005 and UL 508A for industrial control panels. The power distribution block with a default SCCR of only 10kA is often the cause of a low assembly SCCR for industrial control panels. The PDB can replace low-rated power distribution block to achieve higher assembly short circuit current ratings. This 9080LB series block has been tested to achieve higher SCCRs with both Square D circuit breakers and fuses.
