The A28F5608S is a Snubber Capacitor with screw terminals and can case. The A28F5000X series film capacitor is designed for use in power semiconductor circuits to protect the semiconductor by limiting the rate of voltage rise. The dielectric system is polypropylene with foil electrodes. The RMS currents encountered in these circuits are usually low, however, the peak currents are very high. The X suffix denotes all film dielectric, which replaces the obsolete film/paper dielectric.
