The 35J36RE is a 36Ω surface-mount high energy Wire-wound Resistor with axial terminal in a heat sinkable packaging. It employs special winding techniques to maximize the effective joule rating of each resistor. Most wire-wound resistor is wound with the objective of meeting the stated power rating and keeping low through the use of automatic winding equipment. On tight tolerance wire-wound some type of abrasive adjustment to the resistance wire is often used to maximize production yields. This high energy wire-wound is hand wound in order to maintain the tightest possible pitch (space between windings) and thereby maximize the mass of the resistive element and this technique can be applied to any wire-wound product.
